New distribution deal sees leading racing provider for the Americas broaden its sphere of influence into Chile with the addition of the prestigious Club Hípico de Santiago racetrack
27 October 2025 – 1/ST CONTENT - the pre-eminent provider of premium North and South American horse racing content and a key division of 1/ST - has expanded its growing international footprint with the addition of Club Hípico de Santiago racetrack, thanks to its ongoing partnership with American Racing Channel (ARC), a leading local distributor which holds the rights to many of the foremost racecourses in Latin America.
Club Hípico de Santiago is Chile's oldest racetrack and, amongst many other high-quality racedays, home to the Clásico El Ensayo. South America’s original stakes race. Live racing takes place every Friday, on alternate Mondays, and on select Sundays at this revered Club Hípico, with each racecard typically showcasing 18 races populated by competitive field sizes.
This timely deal has been struck with the next renewal of the Clásico El Ensayo fast approaching on Friday 31 October 2025. The prestigious Group 1 race represents the first leg of the Chilean Triple Crown, and the fourth-oldest race in the Americas as a whole, after the King’s Plate (1860), the Travers Stakes (1864), and the Belmont Stakes (1867), all proven drivers of betting turnover from non-domestic sources.
By leveraging 1/ST CONTENT’s unparalleled expertise in capturing and broadcasting live racing events, coupled to a truly international distribution network and global reach, racing fans can now enjoy a best-in-breed racing experience from more and more regions worldwide.
Simon Fraser, Senior Vice President International at 1/ST CONTENT, said: “1/ST CONTENT was thrilled to leverage our existing partnership with American Racing Channel to add another elite racecourse to our growing portfolio across Latin America. We are dedicated to igniting horse racing across the Americas in a competitive sportsbook landscape, and ARC is taking us to more and more countries with a strong racing heritage. Chile and Club Hípico de Santiago constitute a perfect model of that history, and it’s another validation of our commitment to returning more value to racing’s key stakeholders than any other distributor from our truly global network.
“Furthermore, working with our alliance partners at Racing1 - the recently formed complete service hub for international racing - we are now able to distribute this content more broadly than ever before. Indeed, racing from Latin America is a great way to help global operators engage new and underserved audiences by delivering 24/7 horse racing. We can also provide a more educational service and supporting marketing structure around this content in order to make it easily intelligible to both seasoned fans and unfamiliar audiences.”
Pablo Kavulakian – President of American Racing Channel (ARC), said: “We’re delighted to have secured the international rights for Club Hípico de Santiago, particularly with the Clásico El Ensayo later this week. Fixed-odds distribution, including reliable early and live shows, from our good friends at 1/ST CONTENT will really enhance this partnership. Our long-term relationship with the Chilean racing industry is underscored by a steadfast pledge to drive new betting revenues, and focus more eyeballs on this sometimes-overlooked jurisdiction which dependably produces competitive fields. And this latest deal demonstrates that collective commitment.”
“Remember, horse racing already benefits from a strong history and robust following across Chile and proximate countries like Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Peru, which have produced some high-quality thoroughbreds, trainers and, above all, jockeys who have regularly plied their trade in the States as well.”
Enzo Yacometti, General Manager at Club Hípico de Santiago, added: “Clásico El Ensayo is our international shop window, so we’re thrilled to have this new global distribution agreement in place with two progressive thinkers and actors for the sport’s future sustainability in ARC and 1/ST CONTENT. It is the longest-running Classic in Latin America and a vibrant example of our shared racing industry across the Americas here at Club Hípico de Santiago.”
1/ST CONTENT’s daily timetable of engaging action, whose chronology naturally complements international racing coverage across varied time-zones, provides 1/ST CONTENT’s global partners with a reliable source of fast-settling betting content at peak leisure-time viewing slots throughout diverse territories.
